The first page of the book contains words list for pre-reading practices. The first set of words are the words that are used in the story.
The story is about the Blue Cow who wanted to play outside the farm so his friends helped him to go out of the farm and into the playground. But Blue Cow was too big or fat for the swing, slide and seesaw. Blue Cow was disappointed and wanted to go back to the farm. Suddenly there were kids who asked Blue Cow to give them a slow ride around the playground. Blue Cow was happy.
At the end of the story, there are some activity sheets to assess the reading comprehension of the reader.
Nea’s Review
My favorite characters in the story is Red Hen and Black Goat because they care for Blue Cow.
The book is interesting, fun, easy to read and understand.
What I liked best is Blue Cow was able to have fun.
The book has nice and colorful pictures. The pages contain 2 to 4 short sentences with bigger font size so it doesn’t overwhelm the reader. The targeted phonics or word blends are also highlighted.
This book is very much recommended for beginner readers. My Phonics-In-Reading books were bought from Fully Booked and Toys R Us.
